Artist Reflection: Photoshop Paint

1. the strongest technical aspect of my artwork would undoubtedly be how the landscape as well as the sky came out. I used a white paint brush with a very low opacity and tapped the blue background. Also, I used a gradient change for the sky. The color of the sky changed to a lighter shade of blue as the eye looks down the image. Also, the grass came out very well due to the fact that there was a brush with a design of clumped pieces of grass. Also, the different colors within the grass are especially nice.

2. One aspect that could've been improved was the leopard itself. I made the leopard first, and then the background, but for some reason I decided to flatten the image making it so the leopard was all on one layer, making it more difficult to edit. 

3. The easiest part of this activity was making the grass look good, due to the option of a grass paint brush,

4. The most difficult part of this activity was, for sure, making the ears of the leopard look decent. Originally I kind of scribbled colors in the ear, because I wasn't sure how to make it look good, but I looked up some templates, and used those to create the current ears. Also, though not too difficult, painting over the leopard spots was very tedious.

5. I demonstrated the objective in this art activity by finding an image and using all of the tools that I have learned so far, and painting over the image with only the brushes provided.

6. If I were to have done this project again, I would have not flattened the image so I could have gone further in editing it.

Graphic Design Assignment #8

Artist Reflection: Pop-Art

1. The strongest technical aspect of my work would have to be my ability to use the pen tool to trace the outlines of either the people of their clothes. Originally my picture of Howie Mandel had a black suit, and because of the desaturation and the change of the threshold, his coloring was basically all black. So, I added the lighter shade of purple to his actual jacket and then the darker shade to the lining.
2. One aspect that could have been improved on was the threshold level for Howie. In the final picture his face is sort of too dark. I could've went back and lowered the level to make it so there was more blank color (white), allowing for more color.
3. The easiest part of this activity was choosing the color scheme. I did not have a specific reason behind it, it just happened.
4. The most difficult part was using the pen tool while outlining both people. It wasn't necessarily hard, it was just tedious.
5. I demonstrated the objective of the pop art activity by creating two works that changes the actual colors to a cartoon-y kind of image.
6. If I could do this pop art project one more time, I would have changed the threshold of Howie's face, so I could have added more color. 

Graphic Design Assignment #7

Artist Reflection: Animal Morph

1. My strongest technical aspect of my beautiful artwork would most certainly be my ability to successfully use the clone stamp tool to use the right panda's stomach fur to put on the cat's face to make it appear more realistic. Also, I thought my ability to make the originally all white cat have features like the panda, such as the ears, eyes, and I also changed the color of the his nose.

2. One technical aspect of my work that could have been worked one was forming the different objects such as the head and tail, to appear more realistic with the blending of the fur.

3. The easiest part was using the clone stamp to copy the fur from the actual panda over to the cat face.

4. The most difficult part of this activity was putting the panda fur on the cat face while still maintaining the look of the cat. For example working around the whiskers and the mouth of the cat.

5. I demonstrated the objective of this activity by using the clone stamp tool to morph the cat on to the body of the panda. I also used some layer masks to get rid of objects and making them flow better.
6. If I were to re-do this project, the only thing I would've changed was maybe add another cat head to the other panda. But, honestly I think that this could have been my best one, in terms of editing and making it seem realistic.

Graphic Design Assignment #6

Artist Reflection: Radial Symmetry

1. The strongest technical aspect of my work was my ability to have the shapes within the image appear to draw the viewers eye towards the middle. This was done by the use of lines from all sides going to the center of this image.

2. One thing I could've worked on was how the yellow rectangles aren't exactly symmetrical. At each corner they aren't perfectly lined up.

3. The easiest part of this activity was choosing the gradient pattern for the background. This was so because along with the shapes, it brings the viewers eye towards the center. It does this by having a neutral color and eventually changing to warmer colors.

4. The most difficult part of this project was lining everything up so it appeared to be the same line (EX: all the rectangles).

5. I demonstrated the objective in this art activity by successfully making the image radial symmetrical. I did this by using tools such as the square and circle marquee tool, the eye dropper, and paint bucket. I also rotated shapes, overlapped, changed the opacity, as well as putting the layers into 7 folders.

6. To me, this was my favorite project that I completed and the only thing I would try and change would've been how the yellow rectangles are slightly not symmetrical. But, other than that, I would not have changed anything.
